In general, this position is highly dynamic and requires significant multi-tasking and exceptional communication skills across all aspects of the business.

The ideal candidate will be a generalist with both analytical and intuitive skills. The candidate will work with suppliers and Ingenium staff to formulate and execute specific plans and strategies while understanding the implications of those strategies on throughput and the bottom line.  The candidate will manage each activity associated with product life cycles (certification, prototype, production, aftermarket and product support).  The successful candidate will be part of a Team and has the responsibility to ensure that all efforts meet: program cost, schedule, and performance requirements. In addition, this candidate will support all Ingenium workflow processes.

All efforts of this position will require crisp focus and excellent multi-disciplined continuous communication skills.

Purchasing & Supply Chain: The selected candidate will have the responsibility to assess, maintain, align and further develop our current and future supply chain; the focus will be on Capabilities, Quality, On-time Delivery, Lead Time Reductions, Cost Effectiveness and Inventory Management.

The candidate must develop, document and communicate transparently an understanding of the capabilities and capacities of our supply chain. This individual must be able to read technical drawings including GD&T and understand, in detail, how parts are manufactured. Ultimately this candidate will match the manufacturing methods, volume, lead time, quality and specific program needs with the appropriate suppliers. We are primarily a low volume, high mix custom hardware provider.

The successful candidate will be a solid negotiator who can analyze supplier needs and develop supplier negotiation and engagement strategies while monitoring supplier performance, offering feedback and follow up to ensure suppliers are meeting their committed delivery dates. Ultimately terms are crafted on a program basis with a balanced risk approach including appropriate off-ramps and tailored customer flow downs to be provided into our suppliers bid packages.

Ingenium’s goal for this position to assist in developing a World Class Supply Chain for Ingenium Aerospace. Additionally, we hope to develop and expand our relationship with potential critical supplier that are well aligned Ingenium’s business model, provide exceptional performance and can support all phases of a products life cycle.

The candidate must possess experience buying moderate to complex machined/mechanical parts and dealing with machining suppliers. Experience in Military/Aerospace procurement and traceability is a plus. This candidate will act as a liaison between our supply chain and design engineering group. This role will have responsibility to assist design to cost efforts and have an approval role in the drawing release process and Change Control Board.

It would be very beneficial if the candidate has had experience in all phases of a product life cycle; prototype, production and aftermarket. All phases possess unique challenges, all of which are significantly different and play a role in this dynamic job function within Ingenium Aerospace.

Material Planning and Inventory Management:  Ingenium is in a low volume high mix marketspace. This means that the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a custom material plan by customer for each end item provided. This material plan will include commodities and uniquely manufactured piece parts, sub-assembly planning, kitting strategies, event timing and sequencing. The candidate will need to be capable of breaking down a multi-level Bill of Material (BOM) at all levels and working cooperatively with engineering, program management, operations and quality staff to create an execution strategy for the entire build cycle. The candidate must understand the pertinent elements of material and program risk management.

Knowledge and experience in inventory management techniques and strategies as well as developing inventory policies for a high mix, low volume environment is essential. The candidate will be responsible for assessing, recommending, setting and executing specific program inventory levels to guarantee they are met. The successful candidate must understand the precise techniques associated with maintaining a low level of useful inventory while maintaining a very high on-time delivery rate. The candidate will understand the specific implications of each inventory strategy and the effect on cash flow and revenue timing at the specific project and program level as it relates to the management of a small business.

ERP: Our current ERP system is produced by Component Control and is known as Quantum Control. The selected candidate will be required to acquire deep knowledge of this system and be responsible for all aspects of ERP, including but not limited to defaults settings, report generation, set-backs, inventory policy and control, order creation, request for quotes, configuration control and user controls.

PDM: The selected candidate will understand the rigors of aerospace hardware and paperwork configuration control and work interactively with our internal and external team members to ensure compliance throughout all phases of the products life cycle.
