Opening Multiple Internal WO's, Copy WO ?

Pat · QUE Group Member 10/19/2026 3 replies

Hello, does anyone know a way opening a WO, that will have all the same header information with only the Part number changing? We are needing to open over 100 Internal WO's and only the part number is different, and I'm looking for a quicker way than opening each individually, something similar to the Copy function like in the PO search. The part numbers are listed on an excel table.

Sandy · QUE Group Member 10/21/2026

Pat, The only way I have seen to copy (Split) work orders is if they are a sub work order and in WIP. Other than that, I have not seen any capabilities in Quantum for copying work order headers. Maybe someone else has had better luck.

Mike · QUE Group Member 10/21/2026

Hi Sandy I have not seen this feature. I was working on similar function to copy a Manufacturing Order (which is essentially the same as a WO), but didn't finish it after they cancelled the project. It is do able though- what do you have set up on … complete answer for members only

Pat · QUE Group Member 10/25/2026

Thank you Sandy and Mike for your replies. The header information that would be identical when adding the new WO's would be: Internal (type), Customer (our Self), Reference number, qty 1, need date, Manager ( same user), Work type (same type from … complete answer for members only

Event running as scheduled, no email sent

William · QUE Group Member 10/16/2026 3 replies

We have an event that runs at 6 pm every day. On the events page it shows last run date as 6 pm yesterday and last run result as emailed. However, according to the email log, the last one went out 11 days ago. In-house recipients reported the same date as the last one received.
This is the only event this is happening to. The event was last edited several months ago.
Anyone else seen this before?

Mike · QUE Group Member 10/18/2026

William- are you seeing anything in the error log tab in Event Manager for those dates? Also check the Event Queue tab to see if you see anything there related to your event. Is it possible the email is empty and therefore nothing is being sent? Can … complete answer for members only

William · QUE Group Member 10/20/2026

Hey Mike, The events tab says it was last run yesterday at 6 pm and last run result is emailed. It does not appear in the error log or the event que. The event was last updated 5/20/26 but the last email anyone has seen was 10/5/26. There is nothing … complete answer for members only

Mike · QUE Group Member 10/21/2026

William I would verify that the REMITTANCE marketing list exists- in event manager , Global, Rolodex List. If that looks good, then go to the customer record for a company that should have received this email, and click through the rolodex list … complete answer for members only

New Accounting Company - Hide parts from being added to a work order

Sandy · QUE Group Member 10/14/2026 4 replies

Is there a way to have a company's part numbers hidden from being added to a work order?

I went the route of adding a specific warehouse
Assigning the warehouse a GEO code
Adding specific users to the GEO Code
Adding the warehouse that has the GEO code assigned to the master PN
Assigning the users to the GEO Code

Other users are able to add needs to a work order that are not assigned to the specific GEO Code and not added as a user to the GEO code.

Any ideas of what I am missing?

Mike · QUE Group Member 10/14/2026

Sandy The GEO code restrictions only apply to stock, not master parts. When added a part to the BOM, the parts browse does not do any sort of filtering by geo codes or anything else in the user profile. Putting the Geo code on the parts master sets … complete answer for members only

Thanks Mike. Is there a way to specify the part color or boldness of the part number based on Manufacturer?

Mike · QUE Group Member 10/18/2026

Yes, you can use the Manage Grid Colors on the User, System Setup, Global Settings panel to set this up. It works really well for this.

Integrating Quantum with Third Party Accounting Software

Jake · QUE Group Member 09/01/2026 3 replies

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone has experience integrating Quantum with third party accounting software (i.e. Sage). We've talked to Component Control about their API, but apparently it doesn't have connections to any accounting tables.
Would appreciate any insight or advice! Beers on me at the QUE Conference if you can help.
Thanks,
Jake

Alex · QUE Group Member 09/02/2026

If you can figure this out, we'd also love the answer! we currently have to do every transaction we do in Quantum we have to put into Sage and at the end of the month it's always a fun time for all

Mike · QUE Group Member 09/14/2026

Most accounting software can import data from other systems. They should provide the import format, then it’s just a matter of creating that export file. I’ve done this with event manager and custom Oracle procedures. It’s not easy but it’s doable … complete answer for members only

Alex · QUE Group Member 09/17/2026

Thanks Mike. It's good to know it's possible. I've been able to pull data directly from the Quantum database for reporting and dashboards, but I haven't gone much beyond that yet. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the QUE Conference this year … complete answer for members only
