    Hello,

    We have made some great progress with our scheduling system in Quantum, which works perfectly in our test environment, but when we put it in the live database, it does not run as it should.

    Does anyone have any experience of this?

    The script below should perform ‘Backward scheduling’ from the need date. -1 day from the need date specifically. This script was given to me from Quantum directly, as stated – it works perfectly in test.

    First 2 are from live environment, third attachment shows how it looks in test.

    BEGIN

    FOR R IN (SELECT WOO_AUTO_KEY, DUE_DATE FROM WO_OPERATION WHERE OPEN_FLAG = ‘T’ AND DUE_DATE IS NOT NULL

    and (SI_NUMBER like ‘MP%’ or SI_NUMBER like ‘FP%’)) LOOP

    QC_WO_PKG6.SPU_WO_SCHEDULE (R.WOO_AUTO_KEY,R.DUE_DATE,’B’,’T’);

    END LOOP;

    COMMIT;

    Thanks

    Saul

    Saul- can you describe more detail about what it is not doing or what is happening differently between train and live? Are fields not being updated or are they being updated incorrectly? The script you show is only going to update open work orders that being with FP and MP where the due_date is specified.

    Hello Mike,

    In the test environment, the scheduled date is populating -1 day from the need date. It is also scheduling each task, within that WO, based on its standard days. For example, Need date is set to 28th July. Scheduled date is set to 27th July (based on the script). The WO has 10 tasks at 1 (Std day), each of those tasks would then be scheduled on 26th July, 25th July, 24th July etc until all 10 have been populated with dates, showing you when you need to complete each task to meet the customers need date (again, based on the script)

    When in live, this is not happening. The scheduled date varies massively, but is around 14-17 calendar days prior to the need date, and all the tasks are saying the same date as the scheduled date.

    I have had confirmation it is the exact same script it both live and test.

    I hope this is clears it up?

    Thanks

    Saul
