I would also be interested in this topic. Can someone point me in the direction of some training tools for this particular portion of Shop Control?

I would also be very interested in this topic as well. What tools and techniques are people using both inside and outside of Quantum, what direction is Component Control going with this. Might be a great topic for Que group next year as a round table or mini-presentation.

    Hey Mike,

We are in the middle of implementing Preactor http://www.preactor.com/Products/Scheduling-Software

I know a few other Quantum companies are using it and a few others are in process of evaluating/implementing. Our primary resource will be scheduling technicians and then secondary scheduling of equipment and tools. We import WO Task and Tech info from Quantum to Preactor and then Completion Dates from Preactor back to Quantum.

We also use Preactor and have for about 2 years now. We were getting anywhere with planning inside of Quantum so we picked Preactor based on its ability to interface. Given it’s flexibility you could use it for work orders or manufacturing orders.

Is Preactor still working for you Ryan/Leo? Did you build the Import/Export processes yourself of use a 3rd Party to write these?

    Anyone else using this?

We are interested and looking for some current feedback.
