Thanks for the heads up Pietro. We haven’t run into that issue yet, fortunately, but I wanted to ask what symptoms were reported by the end users? That way if we get the issue, I will know right away to follow your recommendations instead of wasting time troubleshooting.

It sounds like Quantum is caching something dealing with stock database and when it tries to access that file it freezes. Have you done a quick reinstall of quantum on the machine? When I reassign a machine to a new user, I usually go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Component Control\Quantum Control and delete everything except Quantum.exe and Quantum.loc in that folder. Then I run Quantum.exe as admin and let it install itself again.

Update to my post from a few minutes ago. I went into the test environment and I have had some success. I created a CSV with the same columns (45) as the add screen in the general ledger module. Most of the columns are blank, but I made sure to populate the columns that get populated when I enter a journal entry manually.
I was able to go into the import data screen and selected open file and brought in the CSV file. The file opens up in the window. The CSV file consisted of 4 rows (1 header row, 2 $100 debits and 1 $200 credits). The header row and the credit row had a blue font. The 2 debit rows had black font. I then select import and I get the message that “all required columns must be mapped.”

Thank you very much Laura. After reading your post, I went into General Ledger module and selected “add”, right clicked and could see the option to Import data. This seems to have a lot of potential.
Is there a template that I should be using. Or said another way, what are the next steps and is there a standard template file that will show me the format so I can put the data into the correct columns.
Also, I curious where to go next once I select on the Import data. A box pops up that is called import data and there are 3 menu options- File, Mapping and Import. Under the Import, there is an option to Import Data. I clicked on it expecting a box to prompt me to select a file to import, but nothing happens. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
