I’ve been working with CC Tech Support, Preston Mendoza, on V10.9.19 qcsysmod.exe errors over the past month–Windows 7
I learned the issue is sometimes related to menu customizations as well as not using the “standard” skin. Evidently, menu customization is stored in the local registry. Other times it’s related to old registry entries not clearing upon Quantum uninstall.
The fix we’ve deployed is to:
1) Uninstall Quantum Client from Control Panel
2) Withing regedit.exe, delete the folder:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareComponent Control USA LLC
3)* Reinstall Quantum and be sure to Run As Administrator.
4) Ask users to use only the Standard Skin.
*We also check to see if there are more than one Oracle 11.2.0 clients (C:Oracleproduct11.2.0client_1)
…if so, before step 3) above, we deinstall each client–run as administrator–(C:Oracleproduct11.2.0client_2deinstalldeinstall.exe) and then let Quantum reinstall Oracle.
Hope this helps!
